Art First Members Shine at the 2018 King George Art Show

Congratulations and thank you to the King George Art Guild for holding the 23rd Biennial Art Show, June 17-24th.

The art show was held at the King George Middle school in King George, Va. Participants in the show were a who’s who of artists from the Fredericksburg area. There were also entries from the states of Maryland, North Carolina and Indiana.

The judge was Don Crow former assistant professor at VCU-Q in Doha, Qatar. Don is known for his large scale oils, painted paper collage and water colors.

Art First Gallery was represented by Barbara Hall, Cathy Herndon, Ed King and  Linda Warshaw. Congratulations to:

  • Cathy Herndon for her award for her mixed media, “Port Holes #3” (Merit Award)
  • Ed King for his ceramic, “Tea Pot-Dragon” (Judge’s Choice) & oil “Plein Air Rap-Pahannock” (Honorable Mention)
  • Linda Warshaw for her acrylic, “Evening Glider”. (Honorable Mention)
