Karen Julihn creates art using multiple media techniques.  Stemming from a water color background, her artwork has branched out to include acrylic and oil painting, working with paper collage and mixed media. Taking inspiration from her surroundings, Karen feels she is always in transition as she continuously explores new techniques.

Homebased in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Karen’s art has been displayed in art shows and galleries in the Richmond, Fredericksburg and Colonial Beach area since 2009. She credits much of her art education to VCU graduate courses, workshops at Art of the Carolinas, in addition to studying with individual artists. She is a graduate of Syracuse University in New York and earned a MEd from George Mason University in Virginia. Currently, she organizes small group art classes.
