After you review the process and membership responsibilities, click the button at the bottom of this page to fill out the Membership Application and tell us a little about yourself. A team member will be in touch with you once your application is processed. 

Along with your application, we request you provide us with a sample portfolio. Your portfolio should consist of 10 high quality images of your best work. You can elect to print these and drop off a hard copy at the gallery or you can email digital files to us at 

creative@artfirstgallery.com

Once your application and portfolio preview is reviewed by our team, a gallery member will reach out to you to schedule an in-person interview. 

You will need to bring samples of your work. *Note* these do not have to be the same as your portfolio. 

If it is determined you and your work are a good fit for the gallery, and you accept our invitation, a gallery member will meet with you to train you on various responsibilities  and protocols of sitting as docent for the gallery. 

Membership Responsibilities: 

Art First is a co-op gallery, artist owned and operated. In order to keep things running smoothly, all members must agree to participate in the following: 

  • Gallery members will serve at minimum, one day each month sitting as docent.

  • Gallery members will serve on one committee during their residence. 

  • All members will attend a quarterly all-member meeting.

  • The monthly fee for membership is $90

  • The gallery takes a 25% commission on all sales. 

  • Initial fees include first & last month membership fees and a $10 stock deposit. ($190 total)
