I draw or paint in watercolor…

I draw or paint in watercolor whatever attracts my attention at the time and they usually remain sketches. The monarch butterfly watercolors were inspired when I was weeding in a garden and attempting to bat away a flying thing around my head. It was a monarch butterfly.  I realized I had not seen one of these beautiful, colorful, pollinators for a very long time. I proceeded to lean more and the paintings are the result.

I have been drawing most of my life and taken many classes and workshops. One of the instructor’s mantra was: “If you can draw the human figure, you can draw anything”. I agree and have included a few figurative works in this show as well. Enjoy!
